OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe that a successful and happy child is one who is both academically and morally nurtured in an environment of safety, love and integrity. We believe that this is most effectively achieved in a Montessori setting supported by its participating families. Our teachers, trained in the Montessori Method of education work with multi-aged groups of children to provide an enriched, multi-faceted curriculum enabling them to progress at their own pace. The following beliefs guide our practices:

TRUE
ACADEMIC
EXCELLENCE

We believe that true academic excellence is attained through dedication and commitment to the holistic development of our children covering intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual aspects.

DISCOVERING THE WORLD

We believe that children must enjoy observing, exploring and discovering the world around them.To develop thinking and life-long learners, we need to nurture children from the start, to learn to think and to think to learn.

PLAY AS A VITAL LEARNING MEDIUM

Through play, children learn concepts and skills in a meaningful context. In addition to making learning fun and enjoyable, children are encouraged to experiment and take risks. There are also plenty of opportunities for collaborative learning with adults and peers during play - such as termly field trips.

INCLUSIVITY

Our school is open and accessible to children from different countries and cultures. Kids are taught the importance of understanding, & appreciating diverse cultures. They are given opportunities to build relationships with others, and honing their personal and social skills. Values and morals are taught through daily interactions, play and story lessons.

TEACHER & PARENT PARTNERSHIP

We strong teacher-parent partnership can yield valuable insights into each child’s development. Teachers are well trained to closely observe them and update parents periodically on their progress and holistic development. At LittleSparks, we have progress updates, newsletters, dialogue sessions & regular meetings for parents.

FEELING VALUED

We believe children will feel valued and develop self-confidence when teachers and parents share and celebrate each child’s achievements and interests.

"The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn."
